Hardware. Everyone knows what hardware is.  Its pretty much anything that plugs into the wall or physically connects to another device. Unfortunately, often few people pay attention to what's really involved in making certain the hardware infrastructure is sized correctly for the business, running at optimally and supported properly.

  • Is the hardware your technical staff uses to do their job appropriate for the task?
  • Can virtualization of some of your hardware infrastructure save you some money?
  • Can some of your in-house servers be moved to cloud-based services?
  • How secure is your physical hardware?
  • Are there single points of failure in your infrastructure?

How can you get the most out of the hardware environement you have and what needs to change in order to get to the next level?
